In spring 2008, Craig and I took a trip to Yosemite, only the third time I have been there.  The rivers were flowing frothy with the spring melt, and the meadows were alive with butterflies and birds.

The Steller's Jay was very cooperative by posing nicely on the branch above my head.  I used a flash in the evening light and caught the pretty cyan color of his feathers.

Bridalveil Falls cascades into Yosemite Valley with El Capitan towering above on the left.

Half Dome rises proudly out of the upper valley.
This picture was taken from Glacier Point as nightfall descended on the valley.
